This is an original old vintage Almirah cabinet or "meat safe" was traditionally used in kitchens to store food, milk, and vegetables overnight to keep them fresh before refrigerators were common. Hand carved from hardwood, sourced from North west India, it has been bleached to enhance the natural wood grain and texture, highlighting it's age and character.
