These beautiful boxes, and their engravings, were unique to the home and family to which they belonged. They’re found in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, a neighbour to the Himalayan mountain range. This piece is up to 70 years old and was once used to store grain and keep it safe and dry from the cold.

Crafted from teak, exquisitely engraved, with beautiful intricate designs and bleached to give our signature, weathered, light "alabaster " look. These look great in an entrance to house shoes, at the end of a bed or can even be used as a unique bench or side table.
